There is still time to sign up for Fayetteville’s City-wide Garage Sale, scheduled for July 11 from 8 a.m. until approximately 1 (as long as sellers wish to stay open). Spaces on the square can be rented for $20 or you can have your location placed on the map. Contact the chamber at (979) 378-2800 or email info@greaterfayettevillechamber.org.

Download the Yard Sale Treasure Map mobile app to see locations, which are continually being added as people sign up. The week before the sale, printed maps can be picked up at Joe’s Place, Orsak’s, the city office (Monday- Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.), Huntington Bank, and Fayette Savings Bank, or a copy can be downloaded from the chamber website ( www.greaterfayettevillechamber. org).

June 29, First Responder call to assist LCRA, Game Warden with an overturned boat at Lake Fayette near the Park Prairie boat ramp.

Residents are reminded by Chief Noviske to please call in control burns to Fayette County Sheriff’s Dispatch Office at (979) 968-5856 and give address and contact number in case of emergency.

Picking Park 

You can find pickers at Picking Park at the Fayetteville Community Center (if it’s not booked) or on the square this Saturday. Enjoy an exceptional lineup of local bluegrass musicians who get together the second Saturday of each month from January- November and keep the tunes flowing from 2 p.m. till they’re played out.

St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 5 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren 

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
