Fayette County Texas Exes Chapter Independence Day Dinner March 2
The Fayette County Chapter of Texas Exes Annual Independence Day Celebration and Dinner will be held Wednesday, March 2 at the Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club in La Grange. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. dinner at 6:15 p.m.
The chapter is honored and delighted to have Dr. Jim Kearney, a resident of Colorado County and member of the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin, as speaker. The topic and Dr. Kearney’s latest book is “Inside the Texas Revolution: The Enigmatic Memoir of Herman Ehrenberg”. Ehrenburg was a survivor of the Goliad massacre of 1836 and kept a diary of his life during the Texas Revolution. This book won the 2021 Summerfield G. Roberts Award for the best book on the Republic of Texas. This is the second time Dr. Kearney has won this award!
