Fayette County Retired Teachers Meet, New Officers Installed

The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association met Monday, May 12 at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia for an evening dinner meeting with eighteen members in attendance.

Special guest Joe Ramirez, TRTA District 13 President, presided over the installation of new officers and spoke to the members about working cohesively as a team. Co-Presidents Peggy Halamicek and Terri Wagner, First Vice President Lisa Slinkard, and Treasurer Chris Morrison were installed as officers.

The business portion of the meeting included approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, and a report from Treasurer Chris Morrison. Morrison reminded members about paying local dues separately for FCRTA membership. Marian Tajchman presented the book project contribution to the Turtle Wing Foundation, with 200 books for Pre-K through fifth grade students.
