Fayette County Opry to Have Patsy Cline Tribute on July 21

The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in La Grange, Texas. This show will be a tribute to the late and great Patsy Cline with Lisa Layne. The show starts at 7 p.m.. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $8.

Lisa was born in Tyler and at the age of 3 moved to Dallas. She began singing professionally at the age of 4 and worked shows with her Dad who is a professional musician on and off thru her school years.

In early 1993, Lisa won the role of Patsy Cline in the first national tour of “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline.” After touring with that troupe for the better part of two years, she joined the Nashville troupe as the lead in the same show.

Her next move was performing at Nashville’s Texas Troubadour Theater, doing the Patsy show from 1998 until 2000. She is also one of only three women certified by the Patsy Cline Association to do official tribute performances to Patsy Cline.

From 2005-2007, Lisa and her husband produced the Lisa Layne Country Show where they performed at the God and Country Theater, 10 shows a week. In 2008-2011, due to the work as Patsy Cline back in Nashville, they had the opportunity to produce and perfor the Ted Swindley production of Always Patsy Cline back at the God and Country Theater She worked shows with her Dad, who is a professional musician, on and off thru her school years.

Lisa has appeared with Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Hall and Oates, Julio Iglesias, Little Eva, Larry Gatlin, Fats Domino, and Chicago, among others.

In 2016-2017 Lisa was awarded the Will Rogers Pure Country Female Vocalist of the year by the Academy of Western Artists. Lisa is well known for one of the alltime most popular Christmas songs: “All I Want for Christmas Is You”.
