Fayette County Farm Bureau to Host Annual Gathering

It’s time once again in Fayette County to map the future of agriculture for the coming year. Fayette County Farm Bureau (CFB) will host its county convention beginning with a social at 6 p.m. and a chop steak dinner at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

“Our county convention is an opportunity for members to connect, address the challenges facing agriculture and set the course for our county Farm Bureau for the upcoming year,” Lemae Higgs, Fayette CFB president, said.

Fayette CFB will consider policy resolutions to guide the Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) in 2026.

This year’s guest speaker will be Fayette County Game Warden Shaun Bayless.

Voting delegates will also be selected to represent Fayette County at the TFB annual meeting in December in Arlington.

The Fayette CFB county convention will be held at the KC Hall in La Grange. Advance tickets are $5 for Fayette CFB members, $7 for non-members and a limited number of tickets will be sold at the door for $10 each. Tickets may be purchased at the CFB office in La Grange or reserved by calling (979) 968-5889.
