The Texas Association of Fairs and Events had its annual Convention in Galveston in January. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller spoke at the Opening General Session. He was followed by Chet Garner, The Daytripper. There were educational sessions each day followed by new, up and coming entertainers in the Entertainment Showcases. There was a trade show each day that was full of acts and ideas for ways of making your fair a better event. Shenandoah was the main entertainment on Saturday night. They put on a great show. There was a great deal to learn and experience by all who attended.
