Fayette Co. Deputies Handle Drug Cases, Assaults and Burglary Reports in May

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of May 2026.

Investigator Marc Bennett is working multiple cases, including a trafficking case and a sexual assault case.

Sergeant Ron Naumann took a dog bite report. Sgt. Naumann also made an arrest on a traffic stop for possession of a controlled substance.

Deputy Josh Jones responded to a residence in the 200 block of Richard Road in reference to an assault. A juvenile male was taken into custody. Deputy Jones also responded to a structure fire on Meiners Road and a report was taken.

Deputy Herman Olvera responded to a juvenile runaway who was reported to be a victim of sex trafficking, but an investigation revealed that to be false, and it resulted in an arrest for false report.

Deputy Chris Stansberry took a report for stolen bee hives. Deputy Stansberry also took a report for an assault that occurred at a bar on FM 155.

Deputy James Ulbig took a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle information was entered into the system for license plate readers and the vehicle was located.

Sergeant Duane Meagher towed an abandoned vehicle that was left in the roadway on State Highway 237.

Deputy Joe Gonzales responded to The Village Market in Carmine in reference to criminal trespass. Charges will be filed against a female subject who had previously been trespassed from the location. Deputy Gonzales also took a report for a dog bite.

Deputy Jason Fowler responded to an address on FM 609, a report was taken for harassment. Deputy Fowler also responded to Ellinger in reference to a burglary and assault. A report was taken and charges are pending at this time.

Deputy Noah Geer responded to a report of criminal trespass. One male was arrested for violation of a protective order. Deputy Geer also conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle was towed due to no driver’s license and no insurance.

Deputy Jose Mosqueda took two inquest reports. Deputy Mosqueda also conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 71 near La Grange. A male subject was arrested on felony drug charges.

Deputy Wesly Arrison responded to a disturbance on Camp Lone Star Road. A male subject was arrested for criminal mischief and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Deputy Ty Roggenkamp responded a disturbance on Country Club Drive. A male subject was arrested for terroristic threat.

Jail Administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 46 individuals for the month of May. Neville reports that the Jail Staff transported six individuals to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
