Fall Ag Conference Scheduled Nov. 1

The Bastrop/Fayette County Fall Ag Conference will be held Friday, Nov. 1 at the Smithville Veterans of Foreign Wars, 557 NW Loop 230, Smithville. A total of 5 pesticide applicator CEU credits have been approved from the Texas Department of Agriculture for this program (1 General, 2 Laws & Regulations, 1 IPM and 1 Drift).

A pre-registration fee of $40 must be received at the Extension office in Fayette County at 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 134 in La Grange or Bastrop County Extension office at 901 Pecan Street, Bastrop, by Oct. 25. Late registration at the door will be $50 per person.

The conference begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. Topics of discussion will include Pesticide Drift Management, Aquatic Vegetation Management, Mesquite and Yaupon Control, Feral Hog Control and Picolinic Acid Chemistry Training. Call the (979) 968-5831 for questions.
