Extension Education Association Hosts Spring Conference

Fayette County Extension Education Association (EEA) members hosted the recent District 11 Spring Extension Education Conference at the Randolph Recreational Center. EEA members from nine counties attended the annual event.
Janice Alexander and Carolyn Fritsche, Fayette County Extension Education Association members, served as hosts at the registration table for the recent 2022 District 11 Extension Education Spring Conference.

The Fayette County Extension Education Association (EEA) recently hosted the Annual District 11 EEA Spring Conference. Sixty EEA members from nine counties in District 11 registered for the business meeting which was held at the Randolph Recreational Center.

The guest speaker was Mary Jo Prince, Program Manager with Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition & Statewide Initiatives’ Reality Education for Drivers. Mary Jo presented a fun and informative session on “Distracted Driving”. Also, a Texas Beef Council recipe demonstration was conducted by Sally Garrett, Fayette County Extension Agent-Family & Community Health and Jenifer Boening, Fayette County Program Assistant. A beef sausage and egg muffin cup recipe demonstrated how to create a healthy beef breakfast sausage plus food safety issues were also addressed.

District 11 cultural arts entries from the various counties were judged, and 1st place winners will be entered at the 2022 State EEA Conference being held this September in Lubbock, Texas.

When all business had been completed, an invitation for the 2022 District 11 EEA Fall Officer Workshop was extended by Lavaca County EEA members.
