Everything You Need to Know About Upcoming Elections
Fayette County Elections Administrator Terri Hefner provided the following information about upcoming elections. There are two elections held in the month of May.
Constitutional & Local Elections
The first election is the Constitutional Amendment/Local Political Subdivision Election that will be held on Saturday, May 7. Early voting for this election begins on Monday, April 25 and runs through Tuesday, May 3. The following precincts and polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
• Precinct 101N La Grange at the La Grange city Hall Council Chambers
• Precinct 110 Warda at Holy Cross Lutheran Church
• Precinct 112 Plum at St Peter and Paul Parish Church Hall
• Precinct 201E La Grange at La Grange Church of Christ
• Precinct 204 Fayetteville at the Fayetteville Community Center
• Precinct 207 Round Top at the Round Top Courthouse
• 301W La Grange at St Paul’s Lutheran Church Education Building
• 315 Cistern at the St Cyril and Methodius Parish Hall
• 316 Flatonia at the Flatonia Civic Center
• 422 Ammannsville at Swiss Alp Farm Bureau Hall (this is a change)
• 423 Holman at the Holman Parish Hall
• 425 Schulenburg at the Schulenburg Public Library (this is a change)
Below is a list of the local schools and cities along with Fayette County that will be having an election on Saturday May 7:
• La Grange ISD
• Flatonia ISD
• Smithville ISD
• Giddings ISD
• Weimar ISD
• City of La Grange (Wards 1, 2, and 4)
• City of Schulenburg
• City of Flatonia
• City of Fayetteville
• Town of Round Top
• City of Carmine
All voters who were registered to vote as of April 7, 2022 are eligible to vote in the May 7 Constitutional Amendment/Local Political Subdivision Election. If a voter resides in one or more of the political subdivisions (city, or school, or city and school) above, then that voter is eligible to vote in that political subdivision’s election as well.
Primary Runoff Election
The second election is the Republican and Democrat Primary Runoff election and will be held on Tuesday, May 24. The Fayette County Judge runoff election will be found on the Republican Runoff ballot. Early voting for this election begins on Monday, May 16 and runs through Friday, May 20. The following precincts and polling locations will be open from 7am to 7pm on Tuesday, May 24.

• Precinct 110 Warda at Holy Cross Lutheran Church
• Precinct 112 Plum at St Peter and Paul Parish Church Hall
• Precinct 201E La Grange at La Grange Church of Christ
• Precinct 204 Fayetteville at the Fayetteville Community Center
• Precinct 207 Round Top at the Round Top Courthouse
• 301W La Grange at St Paul’s Lutheran Church Education Building
• 315 Cistern at the St Cyril and Methodius Parish Hall
• 316 Flatonia at the Flatonia Civic Center
• 422 Ammannsville at Ammannsville KJT Hall (this is a change and will be the usual location from this point forward)
• 423 Holman at the Holman Parish Hall
• 425 Schulenburg at the Schulenburg Public Library (this is now a permanent change)
Important Information
If you voted in the Republican Primary Election on March 1, you can vote in the Republican Primary Runoff election on May 24.
If you voted in the Democrat Primary Election on March 1, you can vote in the Democrat Primary Runoff election on May 24.
If you did not vote on March 1, then you can vote in either party’s runoff election on May 24.
If you are not a registered voter but register to vote by Monday, April 25, you can vote in either party’s runoff election on May 24.
