Freshman Class was Biggest, Kindergarten Smallest at LGISD
At June’s meeting, Superintendent Andy McHazlett gave the La Grange school board a report on final enrollment and attendance numbers for the 2025-26 school year and summer school.
The total enrollment as of May 21 (the end of the school year) was 1,815.
The breakdown by campus is: elementary: 934; middle school: 289; and high school: 592.
The largest class at the elementary campus was 4th grade at 147 and the smallest was kindergarten at 90. The middle school classes are more evenly distributed with 147 in 7th grade and 142 in 8th grade. The freshman class continues to be the largest class in the district with 161 students, followed by the 10th grade with 149.
The average daily attendance (ADA) for the year was 1,722.
Summer school enrollment numbers were as follows: Camp Summit - 33 Elementary - 13 Middle school - 71 High school - 56 The Middle School summer school numbers included the 6th graders from the 202526 school year.
