EMS Recognized for Hill Country Service
The Fayette County Commissioners Court recognized EMS employees Jarret Bise, Neil Watkins, Sam Brychta, Joey Tavary and EMS Director Josh Vandever for their efforts in helping with the devastating July 4 floods in the Hill Country. All five responded to the Hill Country following the flood after state emergency management officials requested their assistance. County Judge Dan Mueller said all expenses incurred by the County for this deployment will be reimbursed by the State of Texas. Commissioners presented all five with a certificate of appreciation. Vandever praised Assistant EMS Director Gary Daniels and the rest of his crew for managing operations while he was gone without any problems.
