Ellinger Youths Participate In Fayette Co. Livestock Show
Several area kids participated in the Fayette County Junior Livestock Show on March 28. Rheagan Karisch exhibited a steer and placed third in her class. She also exhibited heifers and was Champion American Heifer with KCC Mattie, first in her class with KCC RLK Annabella, and second in her class with KCC RLK Jolene. Reagan also had the reserve champion cake that was an almond poppyseed cake. Rilan Karisch exhibited a steer and was third in his class. He also exhibited heifers. KCC Dakota was third in her class, Martha Mae was fourth in her class, and KCC EJ was champion junior showman.
Brylee Brugger exhibited her lamb Peep and got second her in her class. She also exhibited another lamb, Bo and got fourth in the class. Peep weighed 125 pounds and Bo weighed 137 pounds.
Hayleigh Pizzitola exhibited rabbits and her pen placed 38 out of 71 pens of rabbits.
Shared Lutheran Ministry St. John in Ellinger will have services for Maundy Thursday on Thursday, April 17 at 6 pm. St. Paul in Fayetteville will have Good Friday services at 2 pm. Each church will have normal worship times on Easter.
Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Mary’s Catholic Church mass is every Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m.
Brethren Church
Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
Ellinger Chamber
The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will hold the ext bingo event on Saturday, May 3.
Rutersville Cemetery
The Rutersville Cemetery will observe it’s annual Decoration Day on Sunday, April 20. No services will be held at the cemetery.
Hermann Sons
The Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will meet on Monday, April 21 at the Ellinger Fire Station at 6 p.m.
The camp in Comfort will have an Open House on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Bring your friends and enjoy camp activities such as crafts, dance, swimming, etc.
LGISD
There will not be any classes on April 18 and April 21 in observance of Easter.
Central Texas Food Truck The Central Texas Food Truck will be at Waldeck Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 19 from 10-11 a.m. This is a drive through only.
