Eichler-Kieke Reunion Sunday

The Eichler and Kieke Reunion will be held this Sunday, June 5 at the La Bahia Hall. Happy Hour begins at 11 a.m. and a meal of chicken-fried pork steak with sides by Gary will be served at noon. The meal is $12 for both adults and children and the count is needed by May 27.

Please call Sandra at (979) 251-1462 or Marlene at (979) 451-1507 to reserve a meal.

Gene and Conway will have music and German songs. All are invited to join in, and any additional musicians are welcomed!

MLLC WELCA

The Martin Luther Lutheran Church Women of the ELCA salad supper will be on Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. It will be a salad potluck meal with the theme “Celebrate Children.” There also be food that is “kid-friendly,” as children are encouraged to attend with their mothers and grandmothers.

RT-C School News

Round Top-Carmine ISD students are on summer break.

RT-C Baseball team’s season came to an end when they were defeated by Fayetteville in the regional semi-finals. The community is very proud of the team!

Administration offices will be open May 31 through August 9 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Carmine VFD

Carmine Volunteer Fire Department drill night is the second Thursday in June at 7 p.m.

Mark your calendars for the annual Firemen’s Feast and Fundraiser which is scheduled for July 17. They will serve a fried chicken meal to-go only from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. or until sold out.

Chamber Casino Night

Save the date for the Carmine Chamber of Commerce’s Casino Night on Aug. 13 at the Carmine Hall, beginning at 6 p.m. It will be German-themed with an Alpine band, chickenfried steak meal, and drinks included.

Tables and individual tickets are available by calling (979) 451-1507. Reserve your spot now because there will be limited admissions.

MLLC News

Women of the ELCA Salad Supper is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.

Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Worship with Holy Communion observing the Day of Pentecost is at 10 a.m. The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.

Recycle Trailer

The Recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.

Attendants are available to help unload dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean no. 1 and no. 2 food grade plastics (milk cartons should be separated from other plastic), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans.

The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.

Carmine Chamber

Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10-2.
