Donation Helps SPD Get Drug Dog
The Schulenburg Police Department plans to add a K-9 unit to the force, thanks to a donation from Servpro of Bastrop. “We’re excited to announce the launch of a new K9 Unit within the Schulenburg Police Department,” the department announced on social media last Friday. “This team will help us fight the growing issue of drug-related crimes in our community. Our K9 Officer will be highly trained to detect illegal substances and their presence will be a powerful tool in keeping our streets safer.” The department thanked the cleanup and restoration company Servpro for the generous donation. Rob Kuehler and Brandon Paine with Servpro of Bastrop presented the department with a check. “We’re committed to making Schulenburg a healthier, safer place to live, and this new addition to our Department is an important step I that mission,” the department said.
