Cummins Creek Truss Bridge on Willows Springs Road Open at Limited Capacity

Fayette County Commissioner Luke Sternadel reports that the Cummins Creek truss bridge on Willow Springs road is back open at a limited capacity. The bridge was closed last week due to damage to the structure discovered by TxDOT inspectors.

TxDOT is allowing the bridge to re-open to traffic with a load posting of gross 9,000 lbs/axle or tandem 5,000 lbs. New load rating signs have been posted along Willow Springs Road by the Commissioner. The truss bridge is scheduled for a repair/rehab project by TxDOT within six months.
