Cowboy Church Fall Round Up Slated Oct. 4
Fall is fast approaching and the Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is in full preparation mode for their upcoming Fall Round Up on Saturday, Oct. 4. They have been hard at work coming up with loads of fun games and other activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.
They could use some help with donations of goods for both their silent and live auctions. If you would like to contribute to helping with a donation or two, please contact Lee at (512) 629-2114 or Pat at (512) 332-6396. They will be more than happy to help collect your donations.
Also happening at the Fall Round Up at SG2C will be a raffle of a Hereford-cross heifer calf. With the price of cattle currently this could be a great chance to pick up a nice heifer for the grand sum of $20 if your raffle ticket is drawn. Contact any church member for a ticket. Funds raised will help pay for the recently purchased land.
SG2C is also active in Cowboys 4 Heroes at Fort Hood. On Oct. 18 Tim Spice will be taking his chuck wagon to help feed military families. This is such a great way to give back to those who serve our country. If you would like to get involved, contact Tim at (512) 423-2602. This is a way to give back and get to know the SG2C as they go and cook, serve and minister to these real life heroes.

Weather
Muldoon has been experiencing some really nice mornings recently. Fall is in the air and the cooler temperatures are a welcome change from starting the days with warm mornings. Temperatures have been in the sixties and feel really good for early morning walks or getting some outside work done. The afternoons still are warming up and are really warm and make it uncomfortable to work outside.
A few sprinkles have fallen in the area, but the big showers have not been falling in the Muldoon area. No big showers made it into the area; they fell predominantly to the northeast of the Muldoon area.
Out and About
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky enjoyed having their daughter, Summer, and her family stop by over the Labor Day weekend. They celebrated their grandson Marcus’s fifth birthday a little early this year. Marcus and his big sister, Olivia, helped plant onions in the garden. They enjoyed their time at the farm and enjoyed popsicles to cool off after some hot end of summer fun.
Jennifer and Clay Rightmer went to Waco to the Baylor game and to visit with daughter Lane Rightmer over the Labor Day weekend.
James and I enjoyed having our grandson, Ira James Ivy come out for a visit over Labor Day weekend. We went to Austin and brought him back for some fun in the country. He enjoyed all the fun country stuff like driving the tractor with Grandpa and petting the cows.
