Cowboy Church Fall Round Up Approaching
In just a couple weeks on Saturday Oct. 4 there will be a Fall Round Up at the Stray Gathering Cowboy Church. Beginning at 10 a.m. at the park in downtown Muldoon will be filled with all kinds of fun for the kids and adults alike. There will be a bounce house, all sorts of games for the kids and adults come and win a dessert on the dessert wheel. This is your chance to spin and bring home a delicious homemade dessert or baked goodie. This is a great chance to bring out your kids or grandkids for some good clean family fun. There will be a 50/50 raffle. There also will be a photo booth to make some great fall memories with both your kids and others. Hungry? Plan on eating some good old fashion barbecue. Barbecue plates will be available for $12 each. The live auction will begin at 1 p.m. This will be some great fall fun for everyone in the family. Want to win a really nice Hereford cross heifer? Grab a raffle ticket for $20 from any SG2C member for a chance at this nice investment heifer. The winning ticket will be drawn at the end after the auction is finished. Like to help out? The auction committee would love to have some nice donations to auction off. If you would like to help contact Lee at (512) 629-2114 or Pat at (512) 332-6396. They would love to find some unique items to add to the auction. If you do not want to donate, then come out and make a purchase of one of these great items. The money raised this year will be headed towards paying for the newly purchased land and the building of facilities on the land.
Other activities coming up at SG2C will be Cowboys 4 Heroes at Fort Hood. On Oct. 18 SG2C member Tim Spice will be taking his chuck wagon to help feed military families at Fort Hood. Sound like something you would like to be involved with? Contact Tim at (512) 423-2602 for more information and to volunteer. This would be a great give back to the those who serve to defend our country.
Ladies if you are looking to find a Bible study, there is one going on each Thursday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. at SG2C. “Sweet Tea and Scripture” is a growing little ladies Bible study that meets each week to study the Bible in depth and to maybe have a craft or two in the process. All ladies are welcome to come any week and join in. The group is growing and expanding all the time.
