County Recycling Center Hits New Heights – 2 Million Pounds a Year!

At Thursday’s Fayette County Commissioners court meeting, Justice of the Peace Pct. 4, Paul Zapalac, who also oversees the county recycling center, was presented a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Recycling Efforts in 2024 from the Keep Texas Beautiful organization. Zapalac told the court that the recycling center processed 200,000 pounds more last year than the year before and is now processing “well over” 2 million pounds of product a year.
