City Announces Utility Payment Changes, Major Water Project
Read on for some details on our new utility payment options, the scoop on a big water and sewer project coming up late summer and the latest city ordinance.
Effective July 1, the City of Fayetteville will no longer accept utility payments at Cadence/ Huntington Bank. After July 1, utility payments may be made at Fayette Savings Bank by customers with an existing account.
Other payment options include: • By mail
• Bring the payment to the City office
• Drop the payment in the City drop box
• Arrange for an online credit card payment (which includes a processing fee)
• Sign up for ACH draft payments The City apologizes for any inconvenience as they transition to Fayette Savings.
A major infrastructure improvement project is scheduled to begin in late summer. The project will include the replacement and upgrading of water and sewer lines throughout much of Fayetteville. These improvements are an important investment in Fayetteville’s infrastructure and long-term reliability of utility service.
The City is committed to providing timely and detailed communication throughout the project to help reduce disruption to daily activities. This project is made possible through assistance from the General Land Office under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Community Development Block Grant– Mitigation.
The City of Fayetteville appreciates the patience, cooperation and support of residents as these important improvements are completed.
An updated ordinance regarding manufactured homes and modular homes within the city limits has been adopted. You can view Ordinance 2026-05-18 by going to cityoffayetteville. com. Click on Government, then the dropdown and select Code of Ordinances. Click on the ordinance number.
Offices for the City of Fay-etteville will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.
Tractor Club

Bank Transition
Cadence Bank will reopen as Huntington Bank on Monday. Mobile Food Pantry
The Central Texas Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. this Saturday, drive through only. Backseats, trunks and truck beds need to be cleared out to make room for the bags and boxes of food. Volunteers are appreciated.
St. Paul Lutheran
St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 5 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
Fayetteville Brethren
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
