Camp Lone Star Annual BBQ Coming Up

News 

Camp Lone Star in La Grange will host their annual BBQ and Auction Fundraiser to support the camp, transform lives and grow in God’s kingdom, on Sunday, July 27. This event is one of the main events which supports Camp Lone Star each year.

The day includes special music at 10:30 a.m. followed by an outdoor worship service at 11 a.m. under the canopy of trees near the lake. A/C live streamed service is available in the Koop Center. Good old Texas BBQ will be served at noon. After that, enjoy the great fellowship and fun of the live and silent auctions at 1 p.m. If you cannot attend but would like to donate, please visit their website at: www. camplonestar.org.

Central Texas Food Truck The Central Texas food truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran church on Saturday July 19 from 10-11 a.m. Drive through only. Volunteers are always welcome and appreciated. Sent from my iPhone Sewing Circle

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions. Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, July 17 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Community Baseball 

Serbin will not have a game on July 13. The Serbin Jackrabbits now have a FB page.

Warda Recycle Trailer 

The Warda recycle trailer is located across from the fellowship hall. For aluminum can recycling, there is a large wire bin at the picnic grounds. The money from the cans benefits the local Trail Life Group, they greatly appreciate your support.

Sympathy Extended 

Our thoughts and prayers are with those in Texas who lost family members and are still awaiting word on their loved ones, after the recent flooding.

Sympathy to the family of Frances Gray who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Holy Cross Lutheran Annual Church Picnic Holy Cross Lutheran Annual Church picnic will be held Sunday, Aug. 31. Mark your calendars for this fun event, more information coming soon.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The Couples Club will meet Friday, July 11 at the Holy Cross Picnic Grounds.
