Camp Lone Star Annual BBQ, Auction Fundraiser Set July 27

Camp Lone Star in La Grange will host their annual BBQ and Auction Fundraiser to support the Camp and transform lives and grow God’s kingdom on Sunday, July 27. This event is one of the main events which supports Camp Lone Star each year.

The day includes special music at 10:30 a.m. followed by an outdoor worship service at 11 a.m. under the canopy of trees near the lake (A/C live streamed service is available in the Koop Center) followed by that good old Texas BBQ at noon. After that, enjoy the great fellowship and fun of the live and silent auctions at 1 p.m.

FLHS Annual Octoberfest Faith Lutheran High School will have their Annual Octoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 25. Mark your calendars to attend this fun event. More information coming soon.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions. Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, July 17 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Community Baseball 

There are no games scheduled July 6. Serbin beat Shiner last week 18-1. The Serbin Jackrabbits now have a FB page.

Warda Recycle Trailer 

The Warda Recycle Trailer is located across from the fellowship hall. For aluminum can recycling, there is a large wire bin at the picnic grounds. The money from the cans benefits the local Trail Life Group, they greatly appreciate your support.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Morning Bible Study 

The Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group is taking a summer break until August.

Couples Club 

The Couples Club will meet Friday July 11 at the Holy Cross Picnic Grounds.
