Busy 2025 Planned by Local Theatre
Fayette Community Theatre has a busy 2025 planned.
Here’s a look at their events: They have a special fundraiser dinner + show and high tea + show coming up at the end of the month. A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking by John Ford Noonan is a one act play set in suburban Westchester County, New York. Melissa Weltner plays Maude Mix, whose husband is off on a weekend spree with his secretary. She can’t get rid of the annoying neighbor who has just moved up from Texas, Hannah Mae Bindler, played by Ashley Dalhart.
A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking is the theatre’s entry in the Theatre Network of Texas TEXFest 2025 competition in March. To help offset costs, they are hosting a dinner and show See Friday, Feb. 28th at 6 p.m. and an afternoon tea and show Sunday, March 2 at 3 p.m.. Presented at the Historic Casino Hall in La Grange, tickets are now on sale at www.faycotheatre. com. The rest of the season is full of both comedy and tragedy.
May 2-4 – Dilemmas with Dinner by Robin Roberts -AFarce: Junior executive Brooke invites her boss and his wife over for dinner in the hopes of securing a promotion. Just when it seems everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, general chaos that then ensues... Auditions March 8 & 9, Sanford Schmid Amphitheater
June 27 - 29 – Agnes of God by John Peileier: In this taut, compelling three-character drama, a court-appointed psychiatrist must assess the sanity of a novice accused of murdering her newborn – A Fayco Playco production presented at Historic Casino Hall.
July 25-27 Summer Student Production Charlotte’s Web based on the book by EB White, adapted by Joseph Robinette. The summer production created and performed by area students and presented at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center. Auditions will be June 8 and/ or 9; LGISD Performing Arts Center
November 7-9 – Calendar Girls by Tim Firth: Our fall comedic drama is based on the true story of eleven older women who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund, Calendar Girls opened at the Chichester Festival , Auditions Sept. 13 - 15, Sanford Schmid Amphitheater
