Brugger Family Visits National Parks on 4-H Photography Trip

Chris, Laura and Brylee Brugger recently visited Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Parks. Upon Brylee’s recent 4-H certification as a Junior Master Photographer, a 4-H group of kids from all over Texas attended this trip. Elizabeth Schlak, Texas 4-H Photography Program Advisor, created the five-day agenda and guided the students to the best photographic areas. Wildlife, geysers, waterfalls, and historic sites were just some of the stops throughout the parks.

Shared Lutheran Ministry The annual Dinner and Dancing under the Stars event will be held on Saturday, July 18 at the Rutersville Hermann Sons Lodge. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. for a free will fried chicken and sausage meal. Dine in is preferred. At 6 p.m., music will be by The Back Porch Boys. There will also be a live and silent auction. Bring your own beverages and lawn chairs. All proceeds benefit Lutherhill and this event is hosted by SLM and St. Paul Lutheran in La Grange.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church 

St. Mary’s Catholic Church mass is Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Ellinger C of C 

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will host an afternoon of bingo on July 12.
