Bread Basket Looks Ready to Be Filled

Construction of the new Bread Basket convenience store at the corner of U.S. 77 and the SH 71 Bypass in La Grange is nearing completion. Workers recently installed signage on the front of the store for “Taco Chef” along with a liquor store and vape shop inside an attached space on the west side of the building. No word yet on when it will open. The Record reached out to the Austin-based convenience store chain, but they have not responded. Photo by Andy Behlen
