Blue Star Moms to Host Armed Forces Day Drive at Busted Oak Cellars

Busted Oak Cellars invites all to come celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 16, any time 11 a.m.-6 p.m. The Blue Star Moms (mothers of those who are serving or who have served in our armed forces) are hosting this special event. They are raising support for care packages to send to our troops deployed overseas in combat zones.

Each troop receives three boxes of goodies and necessities and postage runs approximately $25 per box. We can all help by bringing needed items for the care packages or by giving a donation towards the postage costs of the boxes. To donate items, please bring items such as beef jerky, single serve fruit cups, bags of microwave popcorn, packages of Ramen noodles, or single serve mac & cheese cups.

To donate money, please send to Blue Star Moms/Houston Area TX2, P.O. Box 6121, Kingwood, TX 77325-6121. Busted Oak Cellars is located at 6195 Round Top Road, Carmine. The event is open to the public, and your participation makes a difference. There will be music, wine for purchase, community, and an opportunity to give back to those who give so much.

Round Top Herb Society The Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America invites everyone to join them on May 14 at the Round Top Festival Institute’s Edith Bates Chapel to hear Cristen Andrews of Small-Town Farm. Meet and greet is in Service Building in rooms 1 and 2. Find out more about the Pioneer Unit at herbsocietypioneer.org.

Winedale Zoom Talk
