The City of Fayetteville lost water pressure Wednesday afternoon after a six-inch water line burst under SH 159. The incident happened around 1:50 p.m., according to Fayetteville Mayor Mike Stroup. Stroup said a fire hydrant was being tested when the pipe burst, but he was unsure whether that caused the line failure.
