Beekeepers Association To Meet Saturday, Jan. 4

The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (Fay-CoBeeks) will have their next meeting on Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange, located at 255 Svoboda Ln.

For anyone interested in learning about beekeeping, there will be a Beekeeping 101 presentation, “Honey Bee Biology” from 4:30-5:30 p.m. A potluck dinner will follow, please bring your favorite entrée, side or dessert to share. Afterwards, there will be a business meeting, a guest speaker and a book signing with Tara Dawn Chapman, Owner and Founder of Two Hives Honey and author of “For the Bees, A Handbook for Happy Beekeeping”. This is a great opportunity for new beekeepers to meet with club members that can serve as mentors and advisors.

Membership dues for 2025 are $25/year, individual or family. Membership is not required to attend meetings, FaycoBeeks welcomes all attendees and encourages beekeepers and their families to join. FaycoBeeks meet the first Saturday of every month, more information can be found at faycobeeks.org.
