Auto Accidents Keep La Grange Police Busy

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of on March 20-27.

Animal Complaint

On March 26, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Vail in regards to an animal complaint.

On March 26, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Horton in regard to a barking dog.

Accident

On March 20, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for an accident. No injuries.

On March 21, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to a two vehicle minor accident at Von Minden and E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass.

On March 22, Patrolman Justin Koehne worked a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Business.

On March 23, Patrolman Thomas Keeney responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of E. Travis.

On March 23, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Edgewood for a vehicle that was hit by an unknown vehicle. Very minor damage.

On March 23, Keeney responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 600 block of E. Eblin.

On March 24, Keeney responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.

On March 26, Patrolman John Wostarek responded to the 100 block of Nothpointe where complainant advised that a vehicle had ran into their fence.

On March 25, Zwahr responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a two-vehicle accident.

Alarm

On March 26, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to an alarm. Office upon arrival found the building secure.

Civil Matter

On March 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass in regards to a civil matter.

Disturbance

On March 23, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Jefferson for subjects arguing. Officer arrived and spoke to the subjects. The subjects went their separate ways.

Disorderly Conduct

On March 26, Koehne responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for loud music. No music was heard when officer arrived.

Family Violence

On March 23, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Monroe for a welfare check. Possibly for assault. Officer made contact and spoke with subject and took a report.

Juvenile Complaint

On March 22, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 400 block of S. Meyer for a juvenile problem.

On March 25, Zwahr assisted with a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of S. Jackson.

Public Intoxication

On March 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of Charles in regards to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. One party involved in the disturbance had left prior to officers’ arrival. One subject was arrested for public intoxication.

On March 26, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Von Minden in regards to an intoxicated subject. Officer arrived on location and searched the area. Subject had left prior to officers arrival.

Reckless Driving

On March 22, Zwahr responded to the 900 block of S. Jefferson for a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On March 22, Wostarek responded the 500 block of E. Travis where complainant stated that a male subject came in asking to buy ten tires. Complainant stated that the subject did not want the brand of tires that they had in stock. Subject left prior to officers arrival.

On March 23, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 600 block of E. Pearl for a suspicious subject in the area. Subject was gone when officer arrived.

Trespassing

On March 22, Zwhr responded to the 100 block of Meadows to a trespassing call. Officer arrived and subject left without incident.

On March 24, Keeney responded to the 200 block of Ellinger Rd. for a person at the location who was not allowed to be there.

Terroristic Threat

On March 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Washington in regards to a threat.

Warrant Arrest

On March 24, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main for a subject with an outstanding felony warrant. Officer arrived and arrested the subject and transported to the Fayette County jail without incident.

Welfare Check

On March 20, Meinardus responded the 200 block of Northpointe where caller stated she heard a baby crying.

On March 23, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Monroe to check on a subject. The subject was fine.

Miscellaneous

On March 20, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of Hwy. 71 for a traffic hazard. Officer removed the hazard.

On March 21, Koehne checked on a parking complaint in the 300 block of E. Milam.

On March 22, Zwahr spoke with a caller in the 400 block of E. Milam in regards to a parking complaint.

On March 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Travis in regards to a traffic hazard. Officer cleared the road of the hazard.

On March 22, Wostark was dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a traffic hazard.

On March 24, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Ln. in reference to identity theft.

On March 25, Zwahr spoke with a caller in regards to a scam.

On March 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regards to loud music. Officer arrived on location and searched the area. Officer was unable to locate any loud music in the area.

On March 26, Zwahr spoke with a caller in regards to a noise complaint in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
