April Proclaimed Child Abuse Prevention Month in Fayette Co.

Fayette County Commissioners Court signed a proclamation at their meeting last Thursday designating the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Fayette County. The proclamation stated that 125 cases of child abuse or neglect were investigated in Fayette County last year, and at least 43 of those cases were substantiated. On hand for the signing were representatives from local agencies that serve child abuse victims.
