American Legion Quade-Werchan Post Meeting Coming Up On July 10 Because of Recent Holiday

Following the celebration of the July 4th holiday, the next meeting of the American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 and Ladies Auxiliary originally scheduled for Thursday, July 3, will be held on July 10. The meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. at their facilities located at 1503 N. State Highway 237; Round Top, Texas 78954.

All members are encouraged to attend as the post has several operational proposals to review.

NOTE: Thanks to the recently passed LEGION Act (Let Everyone Get Involved In Opportunities for National Service Act), Congress expanded the current membership eligibility period to cover Dec. 7, 1941, to the present, and includes the current war campaigns. Previously, there were seven declared war periods. Now there are two, the current war period dating back to World War II and another war era covering World War I. No other restrictions to American Legion membership changed. All veterans in the Round Top-Carmine, Burton, La Grange and Giddings area are encouraged to join Post #338 and share in fellowship with others who have served our nation.

Unless otherwise posted, American Legion Quade-Werchan Post 338 meets the first Thursday of each month at their hall located at 1503 N. State Highway 237; Round Top, Texas 78954-5001. Meetings begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
