American Legion Auxiliary Texas Girls State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is patterned after the Texas Boys State program of theAmerican Legion that has been conducted annually since 1935. This year both State Conventions involved over 500 students in a participatory program where each attendee becomes a part of the operation of their local, county, and state government.
Members of the Post and Auxiliary, faculty and staff of the school district, parents, and community members are encouraged to nominate RT-C students to attend either the 2026 Girls State or 2026 Boys State Conventions. Post No. 338 has pledged to support students who are currently juniors and desire to attend this beneficial event.
