American Legion Awards Ceremony Held

On Dec. 11, American Legion Post No. 102 of La Grange held its annual awards ceremony. James Bramblett received a Gold Medal award that included his contributions to the Labor Day Parade. John Battle also received a Gold Medal award which included his work with the Boys State program. John D. Marburger received a Silver Medal award which included his work coordinating the Honor Guard. J. Weldon Koenig also received a Silver Medal award which included his contribution to University of Texas NROTC program. Richard Frenzel received a Silver Medal award which included his service as Chaplain and years of Honor Guard service. Erwin Sladek received an award for over 34 years of continuous membership with American Legion. Mary Gray was awarded Legionnaire of the Year for her dedication and service to the American Legion.
