This allows based on family their choice of product for example three can vegetables of their choice in our offering. It was found that prebuild products, many times the client did not like the product and was wasted. This method ensures product will be used for nutrition.
The Central Texas Food Bank has introduced, and AMEN is following that an offering of more fruit, vegetables, and nutrient dense foods. Every family is provided a choice of meat from beef, poultry and fish based or their preference. Again, based on family size decides how much to receive. AMEN has been taking part in The Feeding America Program with H-EB and Walmart. All the meat offering is from this program.
