AMEN Moves to Use Reusable Bags

AMEN Food Pantry will transition on June 2 from using harmful single use plastic bags to more sustainable reusable bags or boxes for clients’ food selections.

More representatives from the La Grange community are joining this environmentally friendly effort which reduces plastic waste and minimizes pollution. Others who would like to donate new, gently used, clean reusable grocery/ shopping bags may drop off donations at the AMEN pantry located at 851 S. Reynolds Street in La Grange on Monday from 8:30 a.m. - noon or on Thursday from 10 a.m. -noon.

The food pantry continues to serve our community’s food insecure families with shelf stable food along with fresh vegetables, bread products, and frozen meats with the generous support of the community.”
