Alleluia for Spring Concert Monday, April 7 in Brenham

The Brenham Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Joanne Clark, will welcome springtime on Monday April 7 at 7 p.m. with a concert titled “Alleluia for Spring.” The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 2310 Airline Drive in Brenham, with a reception following the event.

The performance will include “Regina Coeli” by Mozart (which includes three direct quotations from Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus), the beautiful Mozart “Ave Verum Corpus,” and Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia.” The second half of the concert will include many familiar songs from “The Sound of Music.” Guest instrumentalists will accompany the Chorale with strings, oboes, and trumpets. Come and hear this festive music to celebrate another springtime here in Texas.
