It broke his heart The day he found, He must be now, All grow’d up.

Day by day he waited, So o k just maybe, ‘Cause all Mamas busy, This special time of year.

Surly surly Any day now, But we all know, Mail is slow.

New Year came and it went No Christmas cookie tin, He was sixty seven, His Mama eighty nine.

But then he realized--His Mama too has rights, To early retirement.
