A combination of big-time musical talent and hard working Queen’s contestants made the just completed 98th annual Fayette County Fair one of the biggest in years.
Saturday headliner Hudson Westbrook, a country music artist who has exploded in popularity this year, drew so many people to the fair that on-site parking was maxed out and shuttle busses were needed to accommodate visitors.
That was followed up with Mark Wills’performance Sunday, which catered to a whole different era of county music fans.
That popularity was reflected in the ticket sales announced Thursday evening at the crowning of the new Royalty Court.
Combined season pass and carnival ticket sales came in at $167,676.10. This was also the first time the Jr. Miss Contestants sold all the allotted Carnival Passes totaling over $70,000.
Hailey Janish was crowned the 2025 Fayette Co. Fair Queen representing the Turtle Wing Foundation and selling an all-time record of $52,185 in season passes.
Janish was also awarded Most Photogenic Queen and Queen Ms. Congeniality. 1st Runner Up Queen Kara Croyle representing Flatonia Lions Club sold $30,975.10 in season passes and was awarded Ms. Beauty and Poise. Ke’Anna Henderson representing the Juneteenth Committee rounded out the three selling $13,195.00 in season passes earning 2nd Runner Up Queen.
