$6,000 Donated to The St. Rose School Renovation Campaign

A $6,000 donation from the St. Michael’s Assembly No. 1527, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Guadalupe Province, comprised of Sir Knights from the Weimar, Schulenburg and Flatonia Knights of Columbus councils, was recently deposited into the Matching Funds Campaign account at Fayette Savings Bank (FSB) for the benefit of the St. Rose Catholic School Renovation Campaign.
“All donations in any amount are welcomed and greatly appreciated,” Eamon McCourt said. “Counting donations in the bank account and pledges made to the campaign, we are on track to be able to proceed with the renovation project with Phase I work starting at the end of this school year in May.”
Donations can be made primarily at the Fayette Savings Bank – Schulenburg location at 87 N. Kessler Ave. (Hwy. 77 N next to Dairy Queen). However, any FSB banking center (La Grange, Flatonia, Weimar) can accept and post donations to the account if one of these locations is more convenient for the donor. Donations over $5,000.00 can be dedicated to the “matching side” of the campaign where they are used to match regular donations from the public, enabling them to be doubled.
Founded in 1889, St. Rose School was the first school, public or private, to serve students of Schulenburg and surrounding communities, and has thrived for 135 years, providing authentic, relevant education and faith formation to grades PreK3 through 8th grade with a mission of shaping well-rounded students who positively impact the community.
