La Grange City Council instructed Mayor L.W. Stolz Jr. to write letters to 15 property owners who were at least 10 years in arrears with their property tax payments. If the letters didn’t bring results, City Attorney Michael Klesel was directed to initiate litigation. Some of the tax arrears went back as far as 1939.

To the Editor: What a difference a couple of years make! Last Thursday, the La Grange Rotary Club was able to host it’s Pancake Supper at the new Elementary School. And with it getting back to have the Dine-In experience again.

To the Editor: Politicians are once again focusing on the issue of transgender restrooms, a nonissue. Only a small percentage of teenagers identify as transgender and finding suitable accommodations is not difficult.

C APITAL Highlights Residents in Central and Northeast Texas are still cleaning up after a winter storm last week snapped power lines and tree limbs, causing widespread power outages, canceled flights and damage to homes and vehicles. At its peak, nearly 400,000 Texas households were without power, according to poweroutage.
