Pancake Success

To the Editor:

What a difference a couple of years make! Last Thursday, the La Grange Rotary Club was able to host it’s Pancake Supper at the new Elementary School. And with it getting back to have the Dine-In experience again. I want to call out the members, volunteers, spouses, sponsors, LGISD, Interact Club, Cub and Boy Scouts and tell them Thank You for their help in bringing back this community event. For the most part, the school cafeteria was full for the entire two hours. And if you were driving down Travis St., the Drive thru was backed up to HEB. And I can’t thank our community enough for buying tickets – of course, getting to eat our great pancakes and sausage is not a bad payoff. Circle your calendar for February 1, 2024 for the next one!

Working in the new cafeteria was a privilege – I think many patrons came to get a look-see at the new school too.
