The La Grange girls closed out their regular season with a win in Manor Tuesday while the Leopard boys saw their 15-game win streak snapped. The Lady Leps defeated Manor New Tech 49-11 led by a 19-point night from Kylie Trlicek and a 17-point performance from Campbell Cooper.

The Flatonia basketball teams swept Schulenburg in a varsity doubleheader Tuesday. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Schulenburg 43-20 led by a 24-point night from Summer Sodek.

The La Grange boys soccer team defeated Taylor Tuesday at home 1-0 with the lone goal coming from Xavier Oritz. The victory evens the Leps district record to 2-2.

For the first time since 2013, the Round Top-Carmine girls are district basketball champs. With Tuesday’s 53-49 victory over Fayetteville in the season finale, the Cubettes clinched the crown.

The La Grange girls basketball team only has two seniors, but both played big roles late as the Lady Leps rallied for a come-from-behind 4236 victory over Giddings Friday. Xeriah Jimenez provided some late scoring spark and Tori Harold was dominant on the boards as both seniors were playing in their final game at Lep Gym.

With the song “We are the champions” blaring over the loudspeakers, the members of the La Grange boys basketball team each took a turn climbing up a ladder and cutting down a piece of the net at Lep Gym Friday after their 46-25 win over Giddings.

A historic rivalry was tom apart Thursday as the University Interscholastic League ( UIL) announced its sports realignments for the next two seasons. La Grange and Smithville, which have been district rivals for about a long as anyone can remember (The Leps and Tigers have played each other evety season since 1972 except for 1996 and 97) were placed in different football districts.
