Leps Roll in Regular Season Finale, Beat Smithville by 37

The La Grange boys basketball team closed out its regular season with a 72-35 home victory over Smithville Tuesday. The Leps have a 25-9 overall record and a 11-1 mark in district, winning the 22-4A district title by two games over Manor New Tech and Caldwell.

Aging Canopy at City Hall Discussed

The La Grange City Council met Monday night, Feb. 12, and heard a presentation from Cutright and Prihoda Architects about the aging canopy that covers the plaza at City Hall.

Rohde a ‘Spitfire’ for Surging Round Top-Carmine

Round Top-Carmine basketball player Kim Rohde has been an essential part to a surging Cubette team that’s had success throughout the ’23-’24 season and notched a playoff bid. Rohde contributes on both ends of the floor and is considered a vocal leader on the team as well.

Fayette County had a big opening round of the girls basketball playoffs Monday as three of the four locals teams competing won.
