As we step into March, Senior Connections, the vibrant senior activities center with satellites in Flatonia and Weimar, is gearing up for a month filled with fun, friendship, and the welcoming warmth of spring. Mother Nature may be playing tricks on us with her unpredictable weather, but that won’t dampen our spirits.

On Feb. 12, at the recent regular meeting of the H J Ehlers Post 102 of The American Legion in La Grange, recently retired Colonel Lori Tapley visited the Post with her proud parents, Ray and Twyla Thurman, where she was recognized for her faithful and honorable service to our country in the United States Army.

The 44th annual Texas Healey Roundup will roll into La Grange April 4-6. Organizers expect several dozen vintage Austin Healey automobiles to be on display around the courthouse square that Saturday, April 5.
