Sacred Heart Catholic Church held their annual Vacation Bible School from June 6-9. The theme was “Marvelous Mystery: The Mass Comes Alive.” The children, age three to 4th grade, as well as youth helpers from grades 5-12 and many parents and grandparents, came together for this family event. Everyone present “investigated” the Mass and especially about the Eucharist. They all learned that the Eucharist is a Marvelous Mystery, the best Gift, a family Celebration, a special meal, and a call to share Jesus with others. They also learned the virtues of patience, peace, unity, faith, and generosity. To practice their generosity, the children were asked to bring donations for the AMEN Food Pantry. At the closing program, VBS Director Marian Tajchman (left) presented 440 pounds of food to AMEN representative Garry Schellburg (right).
