The Rural Non-Profit Networking Group (RNNG) is an opportunity for the organizations that do so much good in our rural communities to share their missions and visions, discuss community needs and partnership opportunities, bring in experts to facilitate growth and professionalism, and simply connect to maximize the efficiency and impact that participants can bring to Fayette, Colorado, Lavaca, and surrounding counties. Since reactivating post-pandemic shutdown, the group is more energized than ever, back to meeting monthly, and incorporating an educational aspect into each gathering.

This month, ARTS for Rural Texas will be hosting the RNNG gathering on Wednesday, July 13 at 10 a.m. The gathering will be held at the ARTS Ross Gallery (114 N. Live Oak, Fayetteville). Karen Vernon, ARTS Executive Director, will be hosting the meeting and will facilitate a very important discussion regarding collaborations. To be successful, especially in our rural environment, non-profits, businesses, and community organizations maximize their impact by exploring and seizing opportunities to work together.

During this gathering, attendees will workshop how to recognize these partnerships, and when and how to let go and move forward independently. The intent is to help those who make up RNNG gain new ideas and stimulate growth among their organizations.

ARTS was founded in 2003 by a group of concerned Fayetteville residents who recognized that art education was lacking in our rural schools. Almost 20 years later, ARTS for Rural Texas boasts programs and services in seven school districts, three private schools, and two community centers in Fayette and Colorado counties. In 2023, ARTS will expand into Lee County. The ARTS organization has shared their passion for the love of arts with more than 5,000 children as they inspire, build confidence and cultivate creativity. The Rural Non-Profit Networking Group would like to invite all organizations interested participating to attend, as well as there will be a virtual option.
