Jordyn Hunger, a junior at Fayetteville High School, will compete next week on her horse 2 Pac, at the Texas High School Rodeo State Finals in Abilene. Jordyn competes in breakaway and team roping at her region rodeos.

DOPTABLE Coco needs a miracle. She was adopted from our shelter in 2019 and returned by her adopter’s family after he passed away.

The District 13 Retired Teachers’ Association Spring Conference was held on May 11, at the Plum Creek Events Center in Kyle, with 85 in attendance, including six from Fayette County. Fourteen units (counties) of retired teachers comprise District 13.

The City Pool in Schulenburg opened for the summer on Sunday, May 28. Public swimming hours are 1 to 5 p.m.

June 10 is the ‘Fayette County Day’ Concert Round Top Festival Institute is celebrating its 52nd Season and has set aside Saturday, June 10, 2023 as “Fayette County Day at Festival Hill.” Fayette County residents are invited to enjoy a concert on this day at a reduced rate. The special performance will be the Opening Chamber Music Concert of the 2023 Round Top Music Festival, performed in the Festival Concert Hall located at Highway 237 and Jaster Road just north of Round Top.

F Spread the word, the 26th Annual Good Old Summertime Classic bike ride is back this Sunday with a familyfriendly bike ride route and longer routes for the adventurous. Ride loops are 9, 20 and 33 miles.
