Loyalty Day Observed
Loyalty Day is a day set aside for the reaffirmation of loyalty to the United States and for recognizing the heritage of American freedom. In 1958, Congress enacted Public Law 529 designating the first day of May of each year as Loyalty Day. Fayette Memorial VFW Post 5254 and Auxiliary of La Grange held a joint program on their meeting date, May 16, commemorating the event. Pictured are Post Commander Andy Kruppa, who presented the program, and Auxiliary President Marilyn Kothmann.
