Ere’s Reopens After Accident

Ere’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria reopened for business on Friday November 3, 2023, and was welcomed back into our community by Deokie Ramlochan, Chair of the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce who visited to show support from the Chamber representing the business community.

Visar Halilaj, the owner of Ere’s was in a serious motorcycle accident on Thursday June 29. He has suffered many injuries and endured multiple surgeries and is still in the hospital. The restaurant in downtown La Grange had been closed since the accident.

Quilt Block Class at Quilt Festival

Margaret Atkins, Pat Karisch, and Rhoda Gersch completed two days of classes at the International Quilt Festival held this last week in Houston. They taught two eight-hour classes with 30 attendees from all over the United States. The ladies returned, tired, but excited to have been able to share the idea of quilt block painting with people from other states as well as different areas of Texas.

Muldoon Church Holds Clay and Turkey Shoot

M Stray Gathering Cowboy Church held a Turkey Shoot the last weekend in October. It was a beautiful day for a shoot and everyone who came out enjoyed the fellowship and the sunny weather.

Bluebonnet Offices Closed In Observance of Veterans Day

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day. Bluebonnet members can access their account information and make payments while the offices are closed through the co-op’s website at bluebonnet.coop, MyBluebonnet mobile app or calling 800-842-7708.

Faith Lutheran High School’s Annual Oktoberfest was held on Saturday. The winners of Best German Costumes were Sunny Woelfel and Pastor Obersat. (pictured here.) Other winners were Best Brew: Judges choice Marcus Barrenger - Pumpkin Spice Wheat; People’s Choice - Mark Schatte - Porter; and Best Vines: Judges Choice - Mark Schatte - Australian Chardonnay; People’s Choice - Mark Schatte - Pinot Grigio.

Fayette Savings Bank Donates to LGISD

Fayette Savings Bank (FSB) proudly donated $2,200 to La Grange ISD from its School Spirit Debit Card Program. FSB customers who chose to have the Leopard debit card, contribute toward the program indirectly. Every time a purchase is made with the card, a percentage of each swipe goes to LGISD.
