Kubala Throws Out First Pitch

Emma Kubala threw out the first pitch at the Schulenburg softball game on Tuesday, March 19, as part of the school’s Turtle Wing Game. It was a strike. Turtle Wing’s mission is “helping individuals with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential,” and Turtle Wing Games are part of the foundation’s education and advocacy efforts. Turtle Wing partners with local high school baseball and softball teams, and a child enrolled in special education gets to be the star of the show and throw out the first pitch. Be on the lookout, as there are many more games planned throughout Fayette, Lavaca, and Colorado counties! Follow @turtlewingfoundation on Facebook for updates.
